(Reuters) - European stocks ended higher on Monday after bond markets stabilized from a sharp selloff last week, with travel and leisure stocks leading gains on optimism over COVID-19 vaccination programmes and a large U.S. stimulus package.
The pan-regional STOXX 600 index rose 1.8%, its best day since early November, after losing more than 2% last week. Travel and leisure stocks added more than 3%.
Data also showed manufacturing activity picked up pace in major euro zone economies in February, inspiring some confidence about an economic recovery this year, while a separate reading showed German inflation held steady in the month.

Doha: ExxonMobil Qatar announced yesterday that Dr. Mohamad Al Sulaiti is retiring from his position as Research Director of ExxonMobil Research Qatar (EMRQ).
Dr. Al Sulaiti assumed this position in February 2016, where he has been overseeing four research programs in areas of mutual interest for the State of Qatar and ExxonMobil: environmental management, LNG technology, water reuse, and modern geology.
Dr. Al Sulaiti, former HSE Manager at Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation, joined ExxonMobil Research Qatar in September 2010, where he was appointed Water Reuse Engineering Lead. In this role, he was responsible for leading the Water Reuse Research Project in Qatar, which is aimed at introducing engineered wetland technology to treat industrial wastewater in Qatar. In 1997 Dr. Al Sulaiti obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University.

Being asked to be an executor is an honor you might want to pass up.
Settling an estate typically involves tracking down and appraising assets, paying bills and creditors, filing final tax returns and distributing whatever’s left to the heirs. At best, the process is time-consuming. At worst, it takes hundreds of hours, exposes you to lawsuits and thrusts you into the middle of family fights.
Robert Braglia of New York, a certified financial planner, was executor of an estate where the woman disowned three of her four children and left most of her money to just one of her many grandchildren. That could have caused an uproar even if the family got along, which it didn’t: Two of the woman’s children were fighting over the woman’s ashes before she actually died.

INTRODUCTION
This was a Budget focused on big spending announcements and was
heavily influenced by the need to shield citizens, businesses and
the economy in general from the worst effects of the COVID-19
pandemic. This is evidenced by a R10 billion allocation for the
purchase and delivery of COVID-19 vaccines over the next two years.
In these circumstances, it is perhaps not surprising that the main
tax rate increases take the form of an 8% increase in the excise
duties on alcohol and tobacco products and a 27 cents per litre
increase on fuel levies.
The tax collections for 2021 are anticipated to amount to R1.21
